Since moving to the ranch, we are more aware of the interconnectedness of creation. We see it in the connection between the animals, the condition of the land, the weather, the food sources available and how each variable affects the condition of the entire ranch. During homeschooling, we learn about the connections in history, science, philosophy, and religion that have progressed together and brought us to this very time. We see the relationship between nutrition, rest, and exercise as to how it ties into health. The list goes on…
The very definition of holistic means that the parts of something are interconnected and can be explained only by reference to the whole. Holistic specifically related to medicine means “characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of an illness.” {reference: Oxford Languages}
Several years ago, one of my good friends with a healthcare background began her journey to become a homeopath. At that time I knew almost nothing about homeopathy, but she educated me and opened up an entirely new world for me.
Homeopathy is the treatment of disease by natural substances, that in a healthy person would produce symptoms of disease. This sounds technical, but what you need to know is that homeopathy is a natural form of medicine that considers the WHOLE person: mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual to HEAL a disease rather than just treat the symptoms. It is holistic healing and functional medicine at its best: the root cause is treated for complete healing.
My friend began treating me for a specific health issue that I was struggling with at the time and I experienced great success! With her help, I now have the confidence and knowledge to treat acute cases for myself, my husband, and my kiddos and we’ve dropped traditional medicine. We rarely have to go to the doctor or get a prescription, and we feel better about how we are caring for our bodies.
I’m very excited to be able to offer you the same opportunity to learn about homeopathy, in a two-hour course at the ranch! My friend, Clavel Rotolo, will be hosting an Intro to Homeopathy class this winter that will give you an understanding of how homeopathy can help you and your family, with resources to guide you going forward. Please check out our classes and courses page to register!
