When we were out house shopping and we first “met” the ranch, we were pretty certain it was going to be home, for a variety of reasons. But one thing really stood out: there was a serenity about the place, a rare peacefulness that we weren’t accustomed to. Nearly five years later, we’ve received numerous comments from those who visit the ranch,  who voice similar thoughts–that they too enjoy the stillness, the restfulness, the beauty of nature, the coziness of the place. It’s hard to accurately describe, but God has created something unique with this little piece of property.

We’ve enjoyed our ranch for a multiple of reasons, but what stands out is that it’s been a perfect place for hosting. It has always been a dream of ours to be able to share the ranch, to share what’s been given to us, in a way that blesses others.

After almost five years — which included lots of clean up, rehabbing, remodeling, construction, and just plain hard work — we are so excited to be able to finally welcome guests to our ranch in a new way.

We have completed a new building for hosting events! This space has a bigger footprint for hosting (than our home), and it will be designated specifically for courses, classes, events, parties and gatherings.

I’m affectionately calling this space “The Learning Lodge” until we have an official name for it!

Some of the courses and classes will be taught by myself and other family members, while other classes will be taught by skilled instructors.

With these classes, of course an objective is to provide opportunities for guests to learn something new, but it’s also a place in time to relax, retreat, slow down and enjoy the beauty of nature and the joy of the people around you.

The heart of hospitality is to make people feel seen, known, and loved. This is a space for you to experience true hospitality. Welcome to the ranch.
