Soap-Making for Beginners

Handmade soap is moisturizing, nourishing to your skin, gentle, and non-toxic. In this class, you will use goat milk from the goats of Swift Arrow Ranch to make your very own soap. Once you’ve got the process down, you can begin making soap in your own home! Besides the satisfaction you will receive in creating your own soap with fragrances you love, you will also enjoy giving soap as a gift to your friends and family!

This 3-hour class covers equipment and ingredients that you will need for your soap-making endeavors. Participants will go through the soap-making process from start to finish, and will leave the ranch with instructional handouts, along with several bars of soap to use immediately! Have a friend sign-up with you, this is a great class to enjoy with a bestie...and the goats just might make a special appearance!

This class is taught by Devynn Grandi and assisted by Jenny Grandi. Devynn is our goat supervisor on the ranch, and handles all of our milking and goat care. She has a passion for teaching, and for her Nubians!

{Note: Cold-processed soap must cure for 30 days before you are able to use it on your skin--for this reason class participants will take home bars of soap that have already been cured and are able to be used right away.}
